The Hopheads at Eclipse Bar & Lounge

With a mixture of Green Day, Sublime, Johnny Cash the music was sort of a Blue Grass/Country with a rock n Roll sound, they consider themselves to be an Americana all country kind of band.
The music was very upbeat, fun and had spirit to it, I enjoyed listening to what they had to offer and what the band put out there, the band has a lot of energy as a whole and individually they are there own personalities,
Brian (guitar & vocals) wore many different hats throughout each song he sang as far as his costume changes without having to actually change his costume, Tyler (drums & mandolin) playing the mandolin made me reminisce to an old country band at the fair but as soon as he switched to the drums the band evolved into a rock band of today similar to Sublime or Green Day as mentioned above, Tyler wailing on those drums as if he was that little boy hitting the pots and pans in his mothers kitchen.  Mike (Bass) more reserved and hung back as if he were doing what bass players do keeping the beat and being simplistic.  Mandy (vocalist on occasion) brought her best voice forward and gave fun and light to the band as she sang her voice reminded me of that of Lisa Loeb & Alanis Morrisette.

Members of the band are as follows: Bryan "B-Rye" Parker - Vocals/Guitar/Banjo, Mike "The Munz" Monzel - Bass, and T. Bob Pritchard a.k.a. Tyler - Drum/12 String Mandolin/Keyboards, Mandy (Vocalist on occasion).

Some of the bands influences range from Michael Jackson, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Dead Milkman, MC5, Old 97's, Beatles, Creedence.

if you are interested in checking them out there next gig is at the 420 Festival being held at The Hut, Wednesday April 20, 2011 from 6:30 - 9:30, you can also check this band out on Facebook: or onhttp://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Hopheads/133865546646845Reverbnation:http://www.reverbnation.com/thehopheadsaz.
