The Tables Turned, The Duke and Cat Interview
The Duke & Cat Show was a vision of Dukes to have a voice for the artists of Tucson, to showcase talents & causes and started out with a camera and 2 people…yes you guessed it Duke and Cat themselves and since the show has started over a year and half ago it has grown with a great director, a whole camera crew that can be called upon, access to equipment and a production studio.
Currently running shows from the Access television studio (intended for education and voice for the community), Duke and Cat Show is looking for volunteers and talent that want to be on their show, for those that are not familiar with Access television, it is a nonprofit spot similar to PBS that has been around for 25 years and gets funding through an agreed amount charged to Cox cable customers (agreed upon when Cox was brought into Tucson 25 years ago) that goes into a public fund.
Since producing their own shown through Access television being a part of Access television has taught some of those interested in producing how so that they can move on to a bigger and better network in the future.  Duke and Cat also travel to cover events outside the studio.
Looking to Move on from Access, although it has been a great opportunity, they are in a standstill and need to start networking and getting those that want to produce, edit, film, assist and showcase their talent to get paid for what they do.
They are aspiring to have a 24/7 channel for entertainment and information like nothing else in Tucson, so with that note I introduce DukeandCat.com, similar to that of Ustream but with their own address and ownership and the workings like that of what the Breakfast Show does on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The goal for DukeandCat.com: to help those interested to get out and get a sponsor which in turn helps you, the talent to get paid as well as the advertisers, there will be spots for purchase and the show can either be done live or taped.
~ Tired of seeing lame ass programming, we do not do politics or religion, but we want to show what a great place Tucson really is, to make money and show others how to make money also ~ Cat
Compared to what is on TV today, this show is definitely possible and inevitable to the future, programming has changed so much and the internet has become so much more as people tend to watch less and less television and giving sponsors something they want a part of, since television can only estimate how many viewers whereas internet sites like Facebook, track everything, including viewers and that makes for leverage to giving great demographics to the hungry advertisers.
Duke and Cat met through the internet…SURPRISE…and together have never done anything like this before but both have their own separate accomplishments, Duke has done comedy, a radio show in Los Angeles and was a DJ in school who knew that he always wanted to be in show business, Cat has a business background, she has been both a belly dancer and a belly dancer teacher, she enjoys and admires those that are talented and although she grew up on rock and roll that is not the only genre of music she enjoys
~ To help someone make it is our legacy; Duke and Cat are the entity - Duke
Always looking for talent to be on www.DukeandCat.com as well as other shows, no one will be turned down. They are looking for producers, camera people, directors in addition to talent - music, bands, dancers (jazz, Latin, Spanish, hip hop, etc…), comedy, again those interested in producing their own shows.  As a matter of fact they produced and shot their first music video of an up and coming artist to be unleashed May 21stand they are open to ideas.
Duke and Cat, as well as DukeandCatshow cat be found on Facebook –
Earl “Duke” Standberry: www.facebook.com/dukel.standberry and
And for those with ideas or to be on the show send your emails to: talentsearch@dukeandcat.com
Both Duke and Cat are fun, kind and an awesome set of people, they have aspirations and goals and are not just waiting around for them to come true, they are making them happen on a daily basis and put a lot of pride and hard work to achieve where they are going and want to be.  I am really glad that I had the opportunity to sit down and really dig into them about what their business is about as well as who they are and I suggest you do the same, you may be surprised that even you have something in common with them as a whole and individually.

Frantic CD Review

Frantic CD Review

Listening to this CD on my way to work and on my way home for the past 5 days was very refreshing, while listening i was hearing the sounds of Santana and the lead singer, Robert Herrera's vocals sounded very closely to that of Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust.
The feelings behind this CD for me were very uplifting, each song tells a story and as I am listening it was as though I was living the song.  Certain song really touched me and hit some spots within myself.

Track 1: Validate - "Tell me why does it have to be such trouble in the start by the end of it it's easy to quit", Track 2: Hopeless - "Don't give up on yourself although it seems like it's living hell I'm never giving up on you when you're feeling that everything's hopeless, Track 11: Eclipse - " It's just a matter of time they say this to will pass, every second goes by for me feels like eternity...."

That is just a taste of what you can find in this CD and these songs are truly amazing and in what I have been through and what I have done in my past and also future I truly related to this CD.  These 5 guys have talent, harmony and feel for what they are playing....truly amazing
